Checklist Before You Turn The Phonelines On

Make sure all your devices have charged batteries. This includes phones, Bluetooth headests, etc.

Make sure you own batteries are recharged. Be awake and prepared to offer your best services. Make sure your voice is rested; have your refreshments nearby. Turn your phone lines off periodically to treat your voice and spirit to respites, to use the restroom, etc.

Prepare your space:

Get away from your other phones and devices. If you can’t seclude yourself or insulate yourself from them with a closed door, then turn other phones and devices to mute or vibrate. If your computer or other tech gadgets are on, turn the sound off.

It’s OK to keep some entertainment for yourself while you wait; but keep the volume on televisions, stereos, etc. low so that as calls do come in, there’s no distracting background noises.

Make sure your other household members are alerted to your “Do not disturb, I’m working!” status.

Make sure the kids are asleep, dogs have been put out, or otherwise have their needs met so that you’ll not be interrupted.

Have your sex toys and other supplies at hand.
